Gypsy (aka Erica Higgins) has a long association with indigenous media and has worked in the industry since 2006. She has worked in radio broadcasting, film and television production, sponsorship and promotion, grant writing and project management.
She is passionate about our media being the platform for our voice to be heard, our own words, languages and style. This helps all of us to feel connected and proud of our culture. Erica lives on Dja Dja Wurrung country near Laaneebarramul and volunteers producing the Blaknbluez Show as the Gypsy, Saturday mornings on 3KND.
