Jordan Edwards Encourages Youth To Join And Name The Youth Voice


Jordan Edwards is a Gunditjmara, Arrernte and Waddawurrung man and the youngest elected Assembly Member. He is also the Convenor of the Youth Voice.

The First Peoples’ Assembly is calling on young Vic mob to help them come up with a name in language for the soon to be established ‘Youth Voice’. The Youth Voice will empower young mob to participate in Treaty and make their voices heard. Are you a young fella aged 12- 28?

Our young mob are our future leaders. The Youth Voice will educate, engage and empower young First Peoples to participate in the Treaty process and develop their Treaty aspirations and leadership skills.

Submit your proposed name for the Youth Voice by 5pm today (Friday 4 Nov) and every entry will go into the draw to win a deadly prize pack including a double pass to the ‘First & Forever’ music festival; a $100 Haus of Dizzy voucher; an AFL Guernsey of choice; and a Treaty merch pack. Submissions must be a word or words in an Aboriginal language of Victoria that the Youth Voice could be named after.
