Kimmie Lovegrove Has A Chat On Upcoming Kungari Comedy


Kimberly (Kimmie) Lovegrove is from the Ngarrindjeri Nation along the Murray River in South Australia plus business owner at Kungari Entertainment. Kimmie has been living on Wurundjeri country since 2013 but grew up on Boon Wurrung country. She has worked in radio broadcasting and entertainment for many years. Kimberly lives to make people laugh. Kimmie is a stand-up comedian and public relations consultant/graduate. She has a Bachelor in Communication (Public Relations) from RMIT University.

Kungari Productions produces comedy shows owned by Kimmie Lovegrove. Kimmie aims to bring you the funniest comedy shows featuring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedians. So, enjoy an evening of big laughs from Victoria’s funniest Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander comedians!

Denise is very passionate about LGBTQIA+ community awareness and support services. She has worked at the Victorian Aboriginal Health Services for over 20 years in various roles. Currently she works in Community Engagement. Denise’s other comittments and interest are stand up comedy, since winning the 2010 National Deadly Funny competition. She is also passionate about raising awareness for Autism and support services.

Tommy Pemberton is a proud Worimi - Biripi man.

MC for the night is Ben Moodie. Ben is a Proud Gamillaroi man from NSW. He has lived and worked on multiple nations across this country in NSW, QLD, WA and currently living on Boonwurung country. And following the comedy, don’t miss the first ever Koorie Lip Sync Battle! Plucky competitors will bring their A-games to the stage, ready for some legendary lip sync.
