Mitch Tambo Shares his Personal Healing Journey with New Song "HEAL"

Since his star turn on Australia’s Got Talent in 2019, Mitch Tambo debut album Guurrama-Li soared up the iTunes All Genre and World Music charts in Australia, UK, USA, Malta and Eastern Europe, including a #1 spot in Australia, #1 in Denmark, #1 in Malta, #2 in the UK and #34 in the US. Hailed as the ‘the new voice of our generation’, Mitch spent 2020 busy as ever, releasing ‘Love’, an upbeat anthem, sung in his traditional Gamilaraay language. With his latest track Heal, Mitch is hoping to share his own personal Healing journey, while also helping others understand the importance to go on their own healing journey – spiritually, emotionally and physically – to become the best versions of themselves and step into the future. Mitch returns as a guest on Big Brekkie with Gman.

'Heal' is written by Bernadette Duncan (who co-wrote previous Mitch Tambo single 'LOVE'), Rhys Tolhurst and co-written by Mitch Tambo. It is produced by Rob Amoruso who also produced 'Dreamtime Princess'. The song is very close to the singers heart. Mitch was 22 years old when his father was diagnosed with cancer. He used the songwriting process during 'Heal' to help deal with his grief after losing his father to cancer in 2012. 'Heal' is about "overcoming the storms in life" and he hopes people will connect with the song and help them through the current struggles with the COVID-19 pandemic. "It's a single that means a lot to me and is almost this song that's allowed me to strip it back, it really comes from the heart, it's an outpour. 'I'm blessed to put music out in a time where people are losing jobs, careers and business. I feel like my artistry is moving forward and it's a massive blessing.'"

His electro-pop version of Vanessa Amarosi’s ‘Absolutely Everybody’ saw Mitch jump right into the charts and has continued to create exciting mixes like no other. He also took part in the 2032 Brisbane Olympics bid with his version of John Farnham’s ‘You’re the Voice’ used for the bid. Additionally, he took part in Australia’s Biggest Singalong for SBS and has collaborated with Twining’s for their Live Well range of hot herbal teas and cold infusions. Mitch Tambo has been a headline act in some of the biggest shows in recent memory including the nationally televised Fire Fight Australia: Concert for National Bushfire Relief singing You’re the Voice alongside John Farnham, Olivia Newton John and Queen’s Brian May, The T20 Women's World Cup pre-match show, and Eurovison 2020 Australia Decides.
