On Track outlines the negative and positive impacts of COVID-19 that youth had to overcome during and post lockdown in Victoria. In the program specialist journalist Hayley McAdam speaks to Thomas about his education during the pandemic. He is from Papua New Guinea and the Torres Strait Islands, he is currently in year 9 and found it hard to continue his routine and staying on time during lockdown. Thomas was pleased to be spending family time in lockdown and kept in touch with his friends over the phone with texts and calls but found it difficult when he couldn't play sports.
