The HART Awards 2019

The 6th annual HART Awards are presented by Reconciliation Victoria, in partnership with VLGA and supported by Bank Australia and Local Government Victoria. The HART Awards Recognises and Celebrates the top contributors to local Reconciliation. Korin Gamadji Institute were the host of this year’s Awards with a large turnout of organisations, politicians, locals and elders. 3KND did a live outside broadcast from this special event.


These awards are prestigious and sort after with a sort list having qualified for the finals. The winners received a beautiful handcrafted coolamon as an award and each community organisation category winner was awarded a prize of $1000 to support their reconciliation initiatives.


Darebin Council are WINNERS at HART Awards. The City of Darebin WON for their Darebin Schools NAIDOC Yarning Conference 2018 including HIGHLY RECOMMEND for their Ongoing Commitment to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community and Reconciliation. Darebin Council are fully inclusive of Indigenous peoples, values, culture and voice.
