Today 3KnD Kool ‘n’ Deadly attended the 2023 which was held at Bundoora Park Farm. This is the 6th year this conference has been run and is such a successful, educational and deadly day. Clothing the Gaps Sarah and Lena were the MC’s keeping the 420 Children from a number of schools from the area entertained.

The Yarning Conference officially started with Uncle Bill Nicholson conducting the Welcome to Country, then all the children sung Uncle Archie Roach’s song “Colour of Your Jumper”, which was a very special moment.

The schools and cultural educators then broke up into their workshops which included Traditional Games with Clothing the Gaps, Weaving with Wanala Weaving, Caring for Country – Planting with NARRAP Rangers, Songlines & Stories – First Nations perspective with CERES School of Nature and Climate, Decolonising Bundoora Park Precinct with Uncle Stuart McFarlane, Craft making with Aunty Brenda Fahey, Art making Bunjil with Aunty Lorraine Nelson, Hip Hop dancing with Phil Egan, Walking Country Bundoora park with Uncle Bill Nicholson and Your Voice in Media with 3KnD.
The 3KnD team had a deadly workshop with the children conducting interviews, photographing teachers and lots of other roles included in media. Cant wait for nexts years.
